Our diverse team is here to continue the ministry of the Broom Tree Refuge.
Sandi Ray, MA Counseling
Sandi is a steward and caregiver at The Broom Tree Refuge, which she and her husband, Mike, founded in December of 1999. He went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2018. Prior to beginning this ministry, they served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 27 years. During their time with Wycliffe, they worked with the Australian Aborigines in areas of translation and administration and as International Personnel.
As part of the Wycliffe International Personnel Department, Sandi served as a career counselor, international team development consultant and counselor. She has traveled extensively in West Africa, Europe, Asia and the U.S. providing these services to expatriate missionaries and national colleagues involved in Bible translation.
Her broad experience within missions and ministry have prepared her to come alongside guests at TBTR in a number of ways –host, counselor, and friend.
Adam, Lanie & Michah Ray
Adam, Lanie, and Michah Ray moved to Mountain View in 2012. They have become a significant part of the team here at TBTR. Adam is working full time and Lanie part time. They bring a combination of gifts and experience that allow them to make a critical contribution at TBTR. Adam grew up on the mission field and understands many of the situations and stresses people work under. In addition, he is a skilled handyman for which there is a constant need. Lanie has a heart for coming along side and helping people. She also has wonderful office/computer skills which is also a constant need. They both love interacting with people, which is a big part of the ministry here are The Broom Tree Refuge.
